Our journey as a neurodiverse family

Who are we?

We are a passionate family-run venture dedicated to neurodiversity. Our mission is to empower individuals to embrace their unique journeys and unite in strength.

Hi,

Thinking back on my tough teenage years, I see how much I struggled. I was often called the 'naughty child,' and because of my ADHD, ASC, OCD, SPD, and PTSD, I lost my way in school and felt very alone. But I've come a long way and am almost done with my degree in social sciences—something I never thought I would accomplish!

Now in my forties, I'm happily married to Alex, and we have two amazing young adults who are also neurodiverse. Our family is unique and sometimes misunderstood, but we believe in the importance of family and the need to support each other as we navigate our neurodiverse lives.

We really understand the challenges that families with neurodiverse members face, and we want to help everyone stay strong together.

Today, we're incredibly proud of our son, Joshua, who deals with Landau Kleffner syndrome, epilepsy, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia. We've worked hard to fight for his education within the UK school systems. After many obstacles, he has succeeded in his GCSEs and is now studying for five more at college—a huge achievement!

We also admire our daughter, who has shown great determination by overcoming her anxiety and excelling in her level 3 musical theatre course. She dreams of making it big in London next year, which brings us so much joy.

My experiences in a world that isn’t always understanding of neurodiversity inspire me to help others with their education and personal journeys. There are still many challenges for those with neurodiversity in schools, and I can assist with identifying the needed support, starting with a pre-assessment and continuing with coaching and tutoring.

As a neurodiverse couple, Alex and I have faced many challenges that come with raising neurodiverse children. But despite these difficulties, we’ve grown stronger together for over 20 years. Now, we want to help others going through similar situations.

While Alex doesn't have formal coaching qualifications, he provides valuable insights from a male perspective about love, connection, and fatherhood in the context of neurodiversity.

We are dedicated to celebrating neurodiversity and tackling the challenges head-on, working against negative views.

Our mission is to lift up neurodiverse individuals, showcasing their strengths and helping guide them toward a brighter future.

I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Warm wishes,

Kelly
